Online Casino Melbet has officially finished the 12th edition of its flagship tournament, Rummy Premier League (RPL). The top winner, Sumit Kumar, won a prize of ₹1.17 crore ($142,300).
RPL12 turned out to be the largest online rummy tournament ever hosted by Melbet, with a grand prize of ₹10 crores.
Kumar from Uttar Pradesh has become the newest entry to Melbet’s ₹1 crore-plus prize winners’ club. Baidyanath Khan from West Bengal and Milind Gharat from Maharashtra secured second and third positions in the final, winning ₹29.34 lakhs ($35,700) and ₹14.67 lakhs, respectively during the 88-day-long competition.
In the previous edition of the Rummy Premier League, Suneeta Sitaram Sharma from Gujarat took first place and won a cash prize of ₹1.5 crores in the grand finale. Sharma started her journey on Junglee Rummy by playing free tournaments and eventually moved to cash tournaments during RPL11.
